•  Electronics industry: The Electronics industry is well developed in Qingdao and the surrounding area. The headquarters of Haier and Hisense are located in Qingdao . And Fu Shi Kang Tech Group of Taiwan, the largest manufacturer of computer parts, precision electronic appliance connectors and precision cable, of Taiwan, has set up it's new facility in Yantai. This will drive the development of the semiconductor and electronics industry in Shandong Peninsula .

•  Marine Industry: Qingdao is the city of marine science. More than 60% of the marine scientists in China live in Qingdao . And the only professional ocean university in Asia , China Ocean University , is located in Qingdao . Qingdao plays a very important role in marine science in China .

•　Auto parts industry: The Casting and forging industry in Shandong is famous in China. Shandong is brake rotor capital of China (More than 90% of output of China).
